Als ich 22 Jahre alt war, bin ich drei Monate lang durch Indien gereist. Was soll ich sagen? Ich habe dort mein Herz verloren \u2013 an ein Land voller Kultur, Geschichte, leckerem Essen und tollen Menschen. Vor allem der nachhaltige Tourismus soll gef\u00f6rdert werden, und da ist das <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cghearth.com\/coconut-lagoon\">Coconut Lagoon<\/a> geradezu ein Paradebeispiel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/BEG8354.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/BEG8354-960x627.jpg\" alt=\"_BEG8354\" width=\"960\" height=\"627\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Coconut-Lagoon01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1468\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Coconut-Lagoon01.jpg\" alt=\"Coconut Lagoon01\" width=\"934\" height=\"709\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kerala im S\u00fcdwesten Indiens ist f\u00fcr den traditionsreichen Gew\u00fcrz-Export, Ayurveda (dazu gleich mehr) und den Tourismus bekannt. Das Coconut Lagoon liegt 45km vom internationalen Flughafen in Kochi entfernt. Nach der Landung geht es zum Bootsanleger Kavanatinkara, denn man kann das Resort \u00fcber das Wasser erreichen. Es ist eingebettet in kleine Kan\u00e4le und verbunden mit dem gr\u00f6\u00dften See in Indien, dem Lake Vembanand. Wenn man mit dem Boot in den von Wildblumen ges\u00e4umten Kanal einbiegt, der zum Hotel f\u00fchrt, sp\u00fcrt man gleich, dass man einen ganz besonderen Ort besucht. Man legt direkt am Rezeptionsgeb\u00e4ude an, wo man von freundlichem Personal mit einem Coconut Cocktail herzlich begr\u00fc\u00dft wird. Ab jetzt beginnt die reine Entspannung!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Coconut-Lagoon02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1469\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Coconut-Lagoon02-960x639.jpg\" alt=\"Coconut Lagoon02\" width=\"960\" height=\"639\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dabei wird Nachhaltigkeit gro\u00dfgeschrieben. Um die lokale <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cghearth.com\/coconut-lagoon\/heritage\">Architektur<\/a> zu erhalten, wurden f\u00fcr den Bau der Bungalows und Villen Balken und Holz aus verlassenen Herrenh\u00e4usern der umliegenden D\u00f6rfer verwendet. Monatelang wurde zudem nach Aasaris gesucht: Handwerker, die die traditionelle Bauart noch beherrschen. Es gab jedoch nur wenige, und das Team bestand schlussendlich aus M\u00e4nnern, die alle weit \u00fcber 60 Jahre alt waren. Sie waren es, die dann mit viel Liebe \u00fcber mehrere Jahre das Coconut Lagoon traditionsgerecht aufgebaut haben. Die Kuh ist in Indien zwar ein heiliges Tier, diese Sorte ist jedoch vom Aussterben bedroht. Das Hotel sch\u00fctzt sie, und hat damit zudem ganz organisch das Problem des Rasenm\u00e4hens gel\u00f6st. \u00dcberhaupt ist man hier von Tieren umgeben, vor allem <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cghearth.com\/coconut-lagoon\/ecology-cl\">V\u00f6gel<\/a> gibt es \u00fcberall zu sehen. Mit einem fachkundigen und sehr enthusiastischen F\u00fchrer kann man sich diese faszinierende Welt der gefiederten Freunde zeigen und erkl\u00e4ren lassen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/MG_7856.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1466\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/MG_7856-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"_MG_7856\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mein pers\u00f6nliches Highlight ist der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cghearth.com\/coconut-lagoon\/ecology-cl\">Schmetterlingsgarten<\/a>, den ebenfalls eine wunderbar nachhaltige Geschichte umgibt: Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels haben entdeckt, dass sich besonders viele Schmetterlinge immer am selben Ort in der Hotelanlage versammeln. So haben sie dort eine flie\u00dfende Wasserquelle installiert und einige Lieblingspflanzen der Schmetterlinge gesetzt. Voila:Ein wundersch\u00f6ner Schmetterlingsgarten war geboren. So wunderbar, dass es dort sogar den Southern Birdwing zu sehen gibt, mit einer Fl\u00fcgelspanne von 25 bis 30 Zentimetern der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Schmetterling \u00fcberhaupt. Es ist ein Traum, sich hier eine Weile lang einfach ruhig hinzusetzen und den Schmetterlingen zuzusehen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Butterfly-Garden.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1467\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Butterfly-Garden-960x607.jpg\" alt=\"Butterfly Garden\" width=\"960\" height=\"607\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dass ich in im Coconut Lagoon zum Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck, Mittag- und Abendessen jeweils indisch essen konnte, war f\u00fcr mich der Himmel auf Erden. Ich liebe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cghearth.com\/coconut-lagoon\/cuisine-cl\">indisches Essen<\/a> \u00fcber alles, und Kerala hat einen ganz besonders guten Ruf, wenn es um die Kochkunst geht: Fisch, Fisch und nochmals Fisch, und ganz viel Spice. Im Aymanam Restaurant kann man sich im Lehmofen Karimeen, eine lokale Fischspezialit\u00e4t, zubereiten lassen und diese bei Kerzenlicht genie\u00dfen, w\u00e4hrend im Hintergrund die Grillen in den umliegenden Reisfeldern zirpen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/MG_0107.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1464\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/MG_0107-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"_MG_0107\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/MG_0016.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1461\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpearls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/MG_0016-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"_MG_0016\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Viele Besucher sch\u00e4tzen das Coconut Laggon auch wegen seines <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cghearth.com\/coconut-lagoon\/experiences-cl\">Ayurveda-Angebots<\/a>. Die traditionelle, indische Heilkunst wird dort allerdings nicht einfach nur angeboten, sondern zelebriert.
