On 4th of July, 17 Six Senses employees planted together with the local community around 2,000 mangrove settlings in Koh Yao Noi, Amphure Koh Yao mangrove forest.
Together with 4 local primary schools the mangrove area was extended by almost 4 acres. The conservation and restoration of ecosystems such as this mangrove forest play an essential role in reducing disaster risk such as floods and tsunamis. Because of the uniqueness of this mangrove eco system and the protection they provide against erosion this mangrove forest is object of an conversation program spearheaded by the prefect of Koh Yao Noi .
“Six Senses Yao Noi's Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy focuses on energy efficiency, water and waste management, social commitment, protecting natural surroundings, air quality and noise control.”
Everything was environmentally friendly. It was really a very good experience. The chef was really interested in making this experience wonderful for us. We love the wine tasting experience with Sabu.
