Skiing adventures in Italy

The ski resorts of Italy are predominantly located across the mountainous areas at the borders to France, Switzerland and Austria. The country delights with more than 150 resorts, among which are the Alps in the North west of Italy; the spectacular core central Dolomites region bordering Austria, all the way down to the „Appennine“ mountain range in Tuscany or Mt. Etna in Sicily. Italian ski resorts have a beautiful scenery and great variety of terrain to offer. The ski hotels in Italy are comparably reasonably priced and offer very good and regional food. Many properties welcome families and generate an authentic ambience. While the ambience in South Tyrol is influenced by Germany, the region around Aosta Valley is influenced by the French culture. Furthermore, due to the location at the Southern side of the Alps, Italy has a good chance of beautiful weather during winter.
