The Peak offers two chalets and seven apartments that can accommodate up to seven people. All living areas feature comfortable box-spring beds, satellite TV, hairdryer and a fully equipped kitchen with dining area. For a daily dose of fresh air, all apartments and chalets have access to a balcony or terrace.

History and Philosophy

The Kneisl family, that is, Ronald, Martina, Monika and Stefanie Kneisl, are passionate mountaineers. The family is very close to nature and loves the mountains with their typical flora and fauna.

  • The Peak property has been in the family for decades and has been used for farming in the past.
  • The building material used was scrap wood from Michl’s Stadl (the old barn that once stood on this site).
  • Ötztal granite was also used in the construction.
  • All the work was done by local contractors.
  • Hand and bath towels are changed mid-week for a 7-day stay.
  • Rain showers and other water conservation measures are already in place.
  • Water saving toilets
  • The water comes from the mountains around Sölden and the garden water for watering the plants comes from the own spring of the water cooperative of the hamlet Grünwald.
  • All appliances are equipped with water saving filters or water saving buttons.
  • The 48 kwP photovoltaic system generates all the electricity for the houses, the e-charging stations, and hot water.
  • There are timers on the ski boot dryers, motion detectors in the hallways, etc.
  • Heating only at certain times.
  • Low energy light bulbs and LEDs are used in the apartments and chalets.
