The foundation stone of today’s Hotel ‘SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA’ in Bad Herrenalb in the Black Forest was laid in 1973.

Green Initiatives
Following the motto “Think Globally – Act Regionally”, the SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA in Germany takes numerous measures to preserve the natural beauty and diversity of the Black Forest for future generations. All efforts to protect the climate and the environment are combined with the best possible quality for the guest. The hotel offers carbon neutral accommodation, carbon neutral packages, carbon neutral meetings and events as well as carbon neutral arrival and departure.

The SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA pursues a 3-pillar concept for effective climate protection:
- Avoidance of CO₂ emissions and integration of CO-neutral products
Neutralization of remaining emissions through offset projects.
All guests have the opportunity to neutralize the CO₂ emissions caused by their arrival and departure in our reception area.
Measures:
- All environmental impacts of hotel operations are recorded and analyzed.
- Annual CO₂ emissions are calculated with the goal of reducing CO₂ emissions as much as possible.
- Use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, sustainably produced printing and other materials
- Conservation of species (own beehives, bird houses and feeding stations, wild bees and insect hotels)
- Raised beds, green roofs, flower meadows
- Successfully motivating business partners to be carbon neutral
- “Climate seed”: Guests can voluntarily contribute €1 per night, which goes to ClimatePartner projects.
- Events are automatically carbon neutral as part of the conference package

Upon request, your stay at the SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA can be carbon neutral. The CO₂ emissions generated during your stay will be reported and offset by supporting recognized climate protection projects in cooperation with ClimatePartner.
