Romania is not only the home of Count Dracula and various legends and myths but also of lush meadows, unspoiled villages, recently unveiled medieval frescoes, and impressive fortified churches. Here you can enter into a forgotten world and find yourself stepped back in time a couple of hundred years ago. Romania is located between Central Europe and Southeastern Europe, and borders the Black Sea. It is mountainous in the north, while the main feature in the south is the vast Danube valley. Romania shares a border with Hungary and Serbia to the west, Ukraine and Moldova to the northeast and east, and Bulgaria to the south. Due to its untouched nature and tradition-rich community Romania is a country, where a sustainable tourism development is essential.
Ever since HRH Prince Charles has visited Romania for the first time in 1998, he is a passionate supporter of Romania’s untouched nature, the tradional architecture, the unique landscapes.
