The Lifestylehotel SAND in Timmendorfer Strand is expanding its reach: the next generation of the Müller family of hoteliers has taken over the former THOMAS Hotel in Husum, creating a new hot spot for independent travelers on the North Sea coast — the SANDglow. Along with the well-established SANDnature on the Baltic Sea, it will now comprise the new SANDcollection.

Under the leadership of Juliette and Tim Muller, SANDglow brings the typical “SAND spirit” – characterized by sustainability, conscious lifestyle, and team culture – to the North Sea coast. The connection between the two hotels unites the North Sea and Baltic Sea, both geographically and in their commitment to modern, values-driven hospitality. The goal is to provide guests at both locations with stylish relaxation and an inspiring hotel experience that always aligns with social and ecological values.

With its 56 uniquely designed rooms, bar, lounge, and day spa, SANDglow is establishing itself as an urban boutique hotel. During the renovation process, the two teams engaged in intensive exchanges, including workshops, team-building events, and technical adjustments. This allowed the hotels to grow together, even on the inside.

The SANDcollection remains true to its philosophy: sustainable concepts such as using recycled materials, fostering regional cooperation, forming fair trade partnerships, and committing to environmental protection and species conservation are practiced in both hotels.
