Darmstadt, March 3, 2026 | The Green Pearls® Unique Places communications agency is expanding its international network of sustainable accommodations with three exceptional properties: the Ebner 1822 vacation homes, the Slow Food Hotel Schloss Lerchenhof in Carinthia, Austria, and the GSTC-certified Megasaray Club Belek all-inclusive resort in Turkey. These new additions exemplify the diversity of sustainable tourism concepts — from ecological construction and regional culinary culture to certified sustainability in the resort segment.
Ebner 1822 vacation homes – Building naturally, living consciously
The detached vacation homes of Ebner 1822 in Carinthia, Austria, were built in harmony with nature: regional wood, clay, and organic straw characterize the traditional farmhouse construction, ensuring a healthy indoor climate. Sustainability is an integral part of all areas, reflected in the natural surroundings, including a natural swimming pond, as well as in the products in the organic breakfast basket and the organic, seasonal cuisine served at the village tavern. Hosts Barbara and Mario Sonnleitner love sharing their love for their region with their guests. The vacation homes accommodate up to four people and offer space for families, as well as a cozy retreat for couples.

Slow Food Hotel Schloss Lerchenhof – Enjoyment with responsibility
Located in the border triangle between Austria, Italy, and Slovenia, the Slow Food Hotel Schloss Lerchenhof is a pioneer of slow travel and culinary sustainability in Carinthia. As a certified Slow Food leader and holder of national eco-labels, the hotel prioritizes regional and seasonal products. Many of these products come from the hotel's own farm, which operates according to ecological principles. During workshops, guided tours, or while exploring the "power place" around the Biedermeier castle, guests can experience firsthand where the products come from and learn about ecological cycles, local craftsmanship, and conscious nutrition. Guests can also learn about the hotel's energy generation system, which makes it virtually energy self-sufficient: a small hydroelectric power plant and a biomass plant provide electricity and heat.

Megasaray Club Belek – Sustainability in the All-Inclusive Segment
The Green Pearls® network has gained an all-inclusive resort partner in Megasaray Club Belek, which has been certified according to the Global Sustainable Tourism Council's (GSTC) criteria. Located directly on the beach in Belek on the Turkish Riviera, the resort takes a holistic approach to sustainability, including measures for waste and water efficiency, recycling, energy and resource management, and social responsibility. With GSTC recognition, the resort meets and, in some cases, exceeds binding environmental and social standards. For instance, the Megasaray Group has constructed a solar park that currently supplies 50% of the Megasaray Club Belek's electricity. Furthermore, the resort is committed to transparent communication with guests and partners, as well as ongoing employee training on sustainability issues. Guests are involved and encouraged to act more sustainably through campaigns such as promoting vegetarian dishes and encouraging exploration of the coast by bicycle.
