Lifestyle Resort Zum Kurfürsten Wins 2026 HolidayCheck Award, Expands Course Program

The sustainable Lifestyle Resort Zum Kurfürsten in Bernkastel-Kues was honored with the 2026 HolidayCheck Award. Based exclusively on reviews from travelers, this audience award recognizes exceptional hospitality. To qualify, hotels must have at least 50 reviews during the relevant period and a recommendation rate of at least 90 percent, among other things. The award reflects the high level of guest satisfaction.

At the same time, the resort is expanding its health and fitness offerings. New to the program is Yoga Flow, a 60-minute session combining flowing yoga sequences with strengthening Pilates exercises to build core strength, improve flexibility, and enhance balance. The session takes place twice a week—on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m.

The resort also offers qi gong. Naturopath Ingrid leads the free 45-minute session on Mondays and Tuesdays at 5:15 p.m., combining gentle movements, mindful breathing, and mental concentration to promote well-being and inner balance.
