Naturhotel Outside in Matrei ranks among the best wellness hotels in 2026

We congratulate our Green Pearls® partner, Naturhotel Outside in Matrei, East Tyrol, on receiving another award. In the latest ranking by Wellness-Hotel.info, the hotel is listed among the top wellness hotels in the Alps.

The hotel, which specializes in hiking and wellness, ranks 35th in Austria, 17th in Tyrol, and 1st in the Lienz district. Over 1,600 wellness hotels in Germany, Austria, South Tyrol, and Switzerland were evaluated based on their facilities and verified guest satisfaction.

The luxurious nature spa is made entirely of regionally sourced natural materials, demonstrating that wellness and sustainability can go hand in hand. Highlights include the first Deferegger healing water brine bath and a heated outdoor pool. Other features are a Swiss stone pine sauna, a steam grotto, a natural swimming pond, and cosmetic treatments with certified natural products—all nestled in the alpine landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
