Bergisches Land: A road trip with no set schedule

Bielefeld: Extend your stay after your meeting
A business trip doesn’t have to end with your last meeting. In Bielefeld, city life and nature, work and relaxation are so close together that you can begin a relaxing vacation right after your meeting ends. The Lower Rhine is perfect for cycling vacations of every kind: The Lower Rhine Route, stretching over 2,000 kilometers, offers plenty of opportunities for new detours along the way. Lukasz cycles through floodplains, meadows, and fields; over dikes; and along tree-lined paths, going wherever the mood strikes him. He always follows his nose, stopping wherever the scent of fresh coffee and homemade cake wafts over from a farm café.

So, Lukasz doesn't decide how far he'll go on his tour while sitting at the breakfast table in the morning, but rather, he decides along the way depending on the weather, his mood, and the next turn.
Concrete travel idea: Start with a general direction rather than a specific distance goal. The floodplain landscapes of Bislicher Island and the charming towns of Kalkar and Xanten are definitely worth seeing.
